Objectives

  • To act as an institutional mechanism for providing information on all aspects of enterprise building to budding entrepreneurs.
  • To create Entrepreneurial culture in the Parent Institution and other institutions in the region.
  • To catalyze and promote development of knowledge-based enterprises and promote employment opportunities in the innovative areas.
  • To respond effectively to the emerging challenges and opportunities both at national and international level relating to SMES and micro enterprises
  • To guide and assist prospective entrepreneurs on various aspects such as preparing project reports, obtaining project approvals, loans and facilities from agencies of support system, information on technologies.
  • An Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) has been functioning in our institution since of August 2016. The center acts as a catalyst to generate innovative ideas from the students of this institution. The IDC constantly organizes man programs in collaboration with other technical institutions and industries to promote innovation and entrepreneurial skills in students. Members of IDC has participated in a variety of programs held in other institutions.

The Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI) was transformed into “Indian Society for Technical Education” in 1968 with a view to broaden its activities to advance the cause of technical education. One of the major objectives of ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers & technicians needed by the industries and other organizations.

The major objective of the ISTE is to provide quality training programmes to teachers and administrators of technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity and to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industry and other organizations.

STUDENT CHAPTER

Student chapter of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi was established at Malabar Polytechnic Campus during the academic year 2020-2021 with a motive of conducting numerous events to enhance the skill set of students for their all-around development. The chapter has the students enrolled with 217 Nos including Civil, Electrical and Eletronics & Mechanical branches of the College.

NSS has always stood up to its strong spirit of serving people keeping in mind the policy of "Not Me But You". NSS units of the Technical Cell has always given the volunteers, a platform to serve the society and bring happiness and smile on many faces, which has Sown the seeds of social commitment in many students who are otherwise kept aloof from the real challenges and torments faced by the masses in the society as a whole. The 15000+ team of committed NSS volunteers and 150+ programme officers of the technical cell under the directorate of technical education, Kerala have proven to be an enough cause and reason for instilling a significant change in the society. We have a NSS unit with No.106 under technical cell, SBTE Kerala with a unit strength of 50 students.
